Q. How do I apply for a grant?
A. Letters of Intent and applications are only accepted electronically through our online application system. Please see our Grants Program page for funding guidelines.

Q. Do you fund programs outside of San Diego County?
A. We fund programs only in San Diego and Imperial Counties.

Q. Is there a due date for submitting funding requests?
A. To be considered for a strategic grant, Letters of Intent must be  submitted during one of our regular Fall or Spring grant cycles. The current Fall due date is August 30, 2010

Q. How much can I ask for?
A. Our grants, awarded for a one-to-three-year period, range from $5,000 to approximately $300,000.

Q. Do you give grants to individuals?
A. Alliance Healthcare Foundation provides funding for comprehensive health programs to non-profit organizations only.

Q. If my organization is awarded a grant, when will we receive the money?
A. It typically takes 30-45 days after the Letter of Intent is reviewed to fund grants up to $25,000. The funding process for strategic grants may take three to four months.

Q. May I invite an Alliance Healthcare Foundation staff member to visit our organization, or arrange a program presentation at your office?
A. Our staff may request a site visit after we have reviewed your Letter of Intent, but AHF's funding process begins with the submission of a Letter of Intent.
